Haniyyah Tahirah Muhammad of Los Angeles, a member of Divine Hands and a participant in Mother Tynetta’s ‘Ta Ha Suite’, recently auditioned and was accepted to participate in the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation Summer Intensive!!!
The Summer Intensive Program is a 6-week training program for pre-professional students, ages 16-25, with a minimum of three years of consistent training in ballet and modern dance.
She will be taking 12-15 technique classes weekly from the core curriculum which includes a daily ballet class and Horton or Graham-based modern classes five to six times per week. The core curriculum is supplemented by additional classes in jazz, tap, hip hop, Dunham, barre à terre, yoga and body conditioning.
Family, friends, and supporters have been helping her raise the funds for her tuition, room and board, and transportation.
