Wow, has it been 20 years already?!
The Sandlot cast got back together for a very special occasion this weekend and just looking at the crew has us reminiscing like crazy!
Though a few members were noticeably absent, fan favorites like Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez and Scotty Smalls came through to support David Mickey Evans – the film’s director – as he proposed to his girlfriend at the old field, where many of the most memorable scenes were captured.
1,500 people gathered at the Salt Lake City baseball diamond, played catch with the kids, watched a screening of the classic baseball movie, and ooh’ed and aww’ed at the sight of David Evans making his commitment to Stacey McGillis official… right on the home plate!
It’s hard to believe that an entire two decades has passed since Benny took Scotty under his wing and taught him to play baseball.
