George Zimmerman is going to need a whole a lot more than firearms to keep him safe!

Buckeye Firearms Foundation raised more than $12,000 to buy guns and a security system to keep Mr. George Zimmerman safe from those who might want to do him harm.

The former neighborhood watch volunteer, or like Jay-Z would say, “mall cop,” was recently acquitted of all charges in the shooting of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

Spokesperson Ken Hanson says the group sent Zimmerman a check for $12,150.37 Tuesday. He says the fundraising effort was launched because the group believes Zimmerman’s gun rights are being violated

Right after the trial, the U.S. Department of Justice seized all evidence, including the gun that killed Martin, as part of a possible civil rights investigation.

An attorney for Zimmerman said that his client has been receiving threats since the verdict was read earlier this month and since then, he has been carrying a weapon for protection.

Even though Zimmerman was not convicted, he will never live peacefully.
