Don’t mess with a boy band, or all Twitter hell will break loose.

After British GQ published its interview with One Direction for what has become the band’s most revealing conversation – EVER – 1D fans expressed major backlash to the men’s mag via Twitter, with complaints about the way the boys were portrayed.

In the no-holds-barred interview, group members Harry Styles, Zayn MalikLouis TomlinsonLiam Payne and Niall Horan discussed their tangled love lives, bisexual rumors, and groupies.

Considering the reactions from “Directioners,” seems they didn’t appreciate such a candid view of the members and decided to express their contempt by flooding GQ’s Twitter mentions with obnoxious and borderline threatening comments.

Most of the comments hinted around the mag’s portrayal of heartthrob Harry Styles, with his individual cover line reading, ‘He’s up all night to get lucky.’

One devotee ever so-nicely tweeted:

Others – well, they weren’t so pleasant and decided to exercise their potty mouths:

And another one

Whoa.

The interview also addressed rumors about Harry being bisexual. When blatantly quizzed about his sexual orientation, he replied:

While Harry Styles is single, some of the boys are in relationships, and have admitted their faithfulness considering they don’t have time to entertain groupies due to their busy schedules.

Member Liam Payne was quoted saying:

One Direction has certainly embraced their more mature side for the new magazine shoot; we hope their stans at least appreciated that!
