The world isn’t ready for anything like the Sandy Hook massacre anytime soon….or ever again!

A man is now in police custody after he entered Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy, an elementary school in Decatur, Georgia, and began firing shots inside.

According to reports, a woman inside the school called the police when she was asked by the gunman to call the Atlanta TV station as well as the cops. Soon afterwards, she heard gunshots ring out.

The local TV station has footage of children running outside accompanied by teachers and policemen.

“We’re in the process of reuniting the children with their parents,” said Mekka Parish, spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department. “We’re just trying to calm the nerves of parents.”

Even though most of the kids were evacuated from the school, there were even some children and teachers still trapped until after 2:00 pm…but later released.

The mother of a kindergartener at the school, Jonessia White, stated:

“When I hear he’s safely out of the building, I’ll be OK,” White said, adding that she found out about the shooting when a friend of hers called and told her helicopters were hovering over her child’s school.

School buses were brought to take all the kids to meet their parents at a nearby Walmart. We’re happy to report that none of the children or teachers suffered any injuries.
