Things ain’t what they used to be.
Dave Chappelle recently headed out on a comedy comeback tour. The comedian was on stage in Hartford, Connecticut when he was heckled by the audience and walked off, abruptly ending the show.
“I forgive some of you, but I don’t forgive all of you. You guys have totally ruined my chances of running for Congress or something,” he said before allegedly flipping the audience off and leaving the stage.
Chappelle is headlining the tour for the Funny or Die Oddball Festival, which will hit 15 cities.
Audience members shared their feelings on the performance on social media, saying the comedian “bombed” and had a “meltdown.” Others, however, blamed the “obnoxious” crowd for the show’s early end.

Hartford police called in extra patrols as a precautionary measure and to potentially control the crowd.
