In the wake of a high-profile trial involving a female Navy midshipman who accused three Naval Academy football players of rape, the U.S. military is coming under fire for how they handle accusations and the alleged victims. As many as 26,000 service members said they were the targets of unwanted sexual contact last year, but only 3,374 incidents of sexual assault were reported. And in the case of the 21-year-old midshipman, when they are reported the skepticism is so high that testimony is unusually geared towards ridiculing the victim to prove she is lying. A Tennessee woman is paying a major price after stuffing $5,000 cash up her rectum to hide it from her boyfriend. After trying to recover the money with a toilet brush and tongs, Christi Black was transported to the hospital and sustained severe bleeding.
