Most Americans are against a military strike against Syria, but one of those Americans might have some influence on President Obama when it comes to putting down the missiles.

Obama has revealed that his wife and First Lady, Michelle Obama, opposes military action in the country torn by civil war.

“My own family members… they’re very wary and suspicious,” President Obama told PBS.

In his NBC interview, the president expanded on the First Lady’s fears of America engaging in yet another war.

“If you ask Michelle, “Do we want to be involved in another war?” The answer is no.”

As of yet, the First Lady has not spoken out about Syria. But she might not have to. News that Syria has accepted the proposal put forth by Russia to surrender control of their chemical weapons broke on Tuesday and talk of a retaliation might cease if everyone keeps their word.

Guess we’ll have to see what happens next. But we’re with FLOTUS.

No strike. No war.
