Reps for Miley Cyrus and her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth have confirmed that their engagement is over. PEOPLE magazine reports:
“It’s officially over: Reps for both Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth confirm to PEOPLE exclusively that the engagement is off between the two stars.
The news marks the end of a tumultuous year in which Cyrus, 20, and Hemsworth, 23, have experienced more break-ups than bonding moments.”
This news comes after Miley unfollowed Liam on Twitter over the weekend.

It’s almost over for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth; the couple has postponed their wedding yet again and is officially on a break.
It started with rumors that Liam was cheating on the “We Can’t Stop” singer, and then the rumors popped back up when it was reported that Liam was locking lips with a young woman at a party during the Toronto International Film Festival. Now a source close to the couple is spilling the beans. There is trouble is paradise and Miley’s new attitude is at the center of it.
“They’ve split for now,” the insider told RadarOnline.com. “Miley and Liam have a very tumultuous relationship and both are exhausted. It’s a complicated relationship. The wedding is on hold, for now. It’s not cancelled but it doesn’t look promising.
“Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn’t exactly what he signed up for,” a pal told Radar.
“Her VMA performance absolutely mortified him and he couldn’t be more embarrassed. He doesn’t really see anything sexy about what she did on stage.”
The issue seems to be that Liam is a serious actor, whereas “Miley has just turned into a joke,” the source claims.
We don’t know about a joke; Miley’s new song “Wrecking Ball” has been doing numbers on YouTube! Either way, Liam was spotted flying solo at the Floyd Mayweather fight and he hasn’t been seen publicly with Miley since August 8th.
