A teen from Arizona has been suspended from school after a fight ensued when he was seen arriving at his high school with a confederate flag on his truck.

According to Fox News, Jacob Green struck up controversy when he arrived with the flag on his vehicle, which led to a fight breaking out with students.

Even after being suspended, the teen has surprisingly decided to still keep the flag on his truck. Despite it all, Green says that he is NOT a racist and that people misunderstand what the flag means.

He told Fox:

“I’ve done nothing wrong,” Green told the local Fox station. “I’ve flown a flag on my truck. Somebody fought me because of it. I didn’t fight him.”

“The flag means basically more independence, less government. It didn’t mean racism, it didn’t mean slavery, it didn’t mean any of that. It basically meant what they were fighting for was their right to be independent and not have the government control them.”

The school has decided that Green will not be allowed back on the high school campus until he has permanently gotten rid of the flag on his truck.
