It’s been a cold week in the city and I’m saying that loosely because snow is everywhere in every city damn near. It’s Valentines Day week though so hopefully you got hotness in your life. Speaking of hot shit peep this new track Far by Pro Era’s Nyck Caution. It features Kirk Knight, Dirty Sanchez and Tnah Apex. It’s fly little love song with a good sound from some youngest talents in the game.

Dj Cassidy is the life of the party especially if you’ve been to a party that he’s spinning at. Needless to say my attention was immediately on alert when I saw this new song with his name on it Calling All Hearts. It features Jesse J, Robin Thicke and Talib Kweli? Yep. Not sure if this is some weird Valentines Day promo for an upcoming EP but the song is dope.

I hate it when Letoya Luckett stays away from the music scene. Her voice is so angelic and part of made Destiny’s Child so special. It sucks that I guess her and the other ladies aren’t on the same page musically. This new song Don’t Make Me Wait, no pun intended, hopefully meansLetoya’s back in the booth.

Wow! Who saw a Common, Ab- Soul collabo on the horizon. Peep Com’s latest joint Made In Black America. It’s a very neo conscious song filled with metaphors, witticisms and modern day knowledge of self. Common is classic Common. Ab Soul is on another level when it comes lyrics and his 32 bar clip on this track is the stuff of legends.

The west coast heatwave continues in February. This time its the homie Clyde Carson on the DJ Mustard on the Beat hoe! produced Bring Em Out. Carson is fresh off the spoils and success of his smash Slow Down which is featured in GTA V. Bring Em is another strong track that could get Clyde in that convo of hottest west coast artist. Stay tuned…
