Ellen Page , star of the hit movie Juno, revealed that she’s gay last night in front of hundreds of people and we couldn’t be more proud.
The 26-year-old actress attended the Time to Thrive LGBT conference, where she made a touching speech about coming out and how she hopes to help others who may be struggling with the same feat.
She told the crowd:
“I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I am here today because I am gay … and because maybe I can make a difference. I suffered for years because I was scared to come out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of the pain.”
