A 23-yar-old mother from California has reportedly stabbed her 7-month-old son to death, and is now in jail after trying to commit suicide following the incident.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the unidentified 24-year-old woman has been suffering from depression, and was arrested on suspicion of murder after her son was stabbed.

The incident began at 10:30 a.m. Saturday when East Bay Regional Park District police received a call about a collision at the dead-end of Arroyo Drive near Arroyo Camp, the site of a popular children’s camp inside the 4,400-acre park, located approximately 10 miles south of Livermore, Anderson said.
Responding officers found a gray Honda Civic with extensive front and rear end damage, but the driver was missing, according to Anderson.
Officers initially thought the car had been damaged by a hit-and-run driver, but after noticing a baby seat in the back, they decided to further search the area.
A few highway patrol officers saw the woman walking up a road near the highway while carrying a baby that was not moving, nor making any noise.
Authorities performed emergency first aid on the child when they discovered him, but it was too late as he was pronounced dead on the scene.
So far, no charges have officially been filed against the woman since the case is still being investigated.
