Hiccup, Toothless, and the rest of the How To Train Your Dragon crew is back with an all-new wild adventure for the whole family. How To Train Your Dragon 2 follows the two young Vikings as they discover an ice cave that’s become home to countless new dragons and one mysterious dragon rider. The two set out to train the dragons while also doing everything in their power to maintain a balance of peace.
We recently caught up with stars Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, Djimon Hounsou and Kit Harrington to get some behind the scenes scoop, talk about crazy fan experiences, and even spit a few rhymes.
During our sit-down with Gerard and Craig, Butler revealed that his assistant is well on her way to earning the title of crazy cat lady, a fact he says he discovered after watching her get emotional over kangaroos in Australia. We also learned that while Craig hasn’t had too many run-ins with crazy fans, Gerard’s dedicated following has been hosting conventions and Ferguson is always sure to be in attendance. Lastly, we were able to get some freestyles from the multi-talented actors.
We then caught up with Kit and Djimon to discuss the inspiration behind their creative cartoon voices, the differences between regular films and animated ones, and Kit’s previous run-ins with dragons. (Shout out to Game of Thrones.)
