It’s Father’s Day, y’all!

Time to gather the family, fire up the grill, and crack open a cold one with your pops; He works long and hard and he’s been putting up with your ish all your life – he deserves a day all for himself.

Dads are totally awesome. They always know the exact cause of that weird rattling sound your cars making, can assemble IKEA furniture in record time with no directions, and somehow, they always know just what to say you make you feel better.

In honor of Father’s Day let’s take a moment to reflect on all the great fatherly advice we’ve gotten from TV dads over the years!

Check it out.

Rejection is never easy, but thanks to popular TV dad Homer Simpson and our trusty friend alcohol we’ve got it covered…

Scott Disick may be relatively new to the dad game, but thanks to him we know that a little street cred goes a long way…

For years Phillip Banks dropped some serious knowledge on loyal Fresh Prince of Bel Air fans, most importantly – excuses are not an option…

Modern Family’s Phil Dunfy may just be one of the greatest TV dads of all time and thanks to him, we now have this spectacular piece of advice…

Speaking of Modern Family, thanks to Cam we know just how awesome revenge really is…

If it wasn’t for Peter Griffin we may never know how important it is to just be yourself…

Boy Meets World dad Allen Matthews was chock full of advice, but probably the most important lesson we learned from this sitcom papa was that it’s not all about being right…

OK, OK. Mr. Feeny may not technically be a dad, but some of the most important life lessons we’ve learned have come from this TV father figure…

Week after week Carl Winslow instilled his TV family and dedicated viewers with family values, like sometimes you just have to dance it out…

Al Bundy was certainly a man of few words, but when he did open his mouth he dropped some serious truth bombs…

Thanks to Danny Tanner we know we can do anything we put our minds to, as long as we’re not hurting anybody…

Walter White taught viewers that science fucking rules, but he also showed us that we don’t need to explain ourselves to anyone…

Lastly, Ross Geller reminded Friends fans that life just ain’t fair…
