Positive vibes and no shade – That’s what Nicki Minaj was all about last night at Philly’s Fourth of July Jam.

YMCMB’s very own helped celebrate America’s birthday with a stellar performance at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia last night. Following performances of Aloe Blacc, Jennifer Hudson, and Philly native The Roots, the rap Barbie took the stage by storm at the 4th annual free concert, which aired live on VH1.

The leader of the Barbz showed plenty of skin in a black & gold bra with black leather sweatpants, while opening up with “Super Bass.” She then proceeded with her new single “Pills N Potions” off her upcoming album  The Pink Print. Her Barbz didn’t hesitate to sing along when she performed “Yasss Bish!!!” & Nicki threw in some of her classics, “Did It On ‘Em” and “Beez In The Trap.”

In the middle of her performance, Nicki shared a nice message with the crowd:

Ya’ll know this has always been one of my favorite places to be. Since before my first album dropped everybody knows that I love ya’ll, I love your energy.

She treated the crowd with a rare performance to “Freedom,” off of her recent album Roman Reloaded, and declared her own independence.

Happy birthday America. Today we’re free from everybody that tried to hold us back last year. ‘Cause if they didn’t succeed last year, they not gon’ succeed this year.

She finished her set with a crowd favorite, ‘Moment 4 Life’. Watch Ms. Minaj swoon the crowd in Philly below. Did it on them!!
