Skye McCole Bartusiak, who is best known for playing Mel Gibson’s daughter in The Patriot, died at the age of 21 in her sleep at her Texas home. A leader of the Colombian cocaine cartel, Hernan Alonso Villa, has allegedly been arrested by Spanish law enforcement while he was driving along the coast in Spain. Reports say that the cartel he was connected to has been responsible for over 400 deaths, international drug trafficking, and extortion. The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, spoke out about the striking of Gaza, and has called out Israel in the process, calling it “barbarism that surpasses Hitler.” He made these remarks during his campaign speech at Ordu yesterday, and they are not the first in which he speaks out against Israel. Sad news has just hit Hollywood, as actor James Garner has passed away at the age of 86. TMZ reports that an ambulance was called to The Notebook actor’s house yesterday evening where he was pronounced dead. So far, no cause of death has been revealed. A five-year-old girl is dead after being allegedly kidnapped by her mother’s boyfriend, according to new reports. After taking the young girl, whose name was Cadence Harris, suspect Marcus McGowan indulged in a shootout with police. It is not clear if the child was shot by her abductor, but Leavenworth police chief had this to say: “Anytime we have the loss of a small child it is devastating.” [DailyMail]
