Sometimes, we wonder about kids in high school.
In Yonkers, New York, a Gorton High School freshman was caught doing the unthinkable to a member of the staff. The 16-year-old boy was seen punching his substitute teacher and proceeding to put him in a headlock, after being told that he couldn’t go to the bathroom.
Classmates described how Ron Santavicca, part-time faculty member and football coach, told the unnamed boy he could not leave to use the bathroom, which caused him to react violently.
Although the boy was not arrested or charged, officials in the school have suspended him for five days and Mr. Santavicca is now allowed to teach while the police investigate.
