Profile pics as we know them now are about to seem kind of basic.

That’s because Facebook is set to reveal the new option of adding a video as your profile picture. The feature will only be available to a small number of users who utilize iOS in California and the United Kingdom. But there are plans for a wider launch in the future.

The videos will last up to seven seconds and no doubt give users the opportunity to add some personality to their profile. Facebook is also rolling out a temporary profile picture option, in which the temporary photo will last a certain amount of time before being reset to your standard profile pic. There will also be space for a short bio at the top of your profile, and five featured photos of your choosing will appear there as well.
