What: VinylLove

Made By: Color Monkey

What It Does: Takes you back.

Platform: iPad

Costs: $4.99 on iTunes

VinylLove is all about Nostalgia with a capital N. Ask a young whippersnapper just out of grade school what an LP is and chances they can’t tell you ish. VinylLove changes that. It’s an app that lets you relive the glory days of record shops and dusty records and lets you scratch wax like a dog scratches fleas.

What: Google Video

Made By: Google

What It Does: Used to be a cool alternative video hosting and sharing site.

After several years, it’s time to say so long to Google Video, the first (and other) video sharing site before YouTube was snatched up by Google in 2006.  Sometimes used as a way station for bootleggers (we’ve seen whole movies on there) Google Video housed a collection of WTF and interesting videos, some of them by yours truly. Google sent out warning letters over the weekend, telling users their content will be deleted forever if its not removed by May 13. Did you get the memo? Read the details here.
