Earlier this year, Black Hippy crew-member Schoolboy Q dropped one of the best albums of the year with his standout project, Habits & Contradictions.
Schoolboy Q might have some competition for rap album of the year and it’s coming from fellow Black Hippy crew member, Ab-Soul.
The least known member of the crew just dropped his latest project, Control System, which is the follow-up to last year’s Mentality.
MUSIC: Ab-Soul & Schoolboy Q “SOPA”
The opening track off of the album is the soulful and introspective “Soulo Ho3” which features the vocals of Jhene Aiko.
On the track Ab spits:
“Solo, hoe. The one and only. You ni*gas know me. Your b*tches want me. Determination, I got a grip. 95 Locs, I am not a crip. Blood sweet and tears, hotel tears. Your short-term tall tales won’t sell here.”

Don’t forget about Ab, people! He’s a beast, and the track song is dope.
Listen to the track above, and if you’re feeling it, cop the album on iTunes.
