A shocking video from 2008 has recently emerged showing Ryan Lochte‘s sister Megan in an interview where she made some rather racist statements in a shocking 5 minute tirade.
When asked about her time in China during the Beijing Olympics, the 32 year old starts off saying:
“We were there for over a week. China was chinked out… Chinks everywhere”

Megan goes on to discuss the driving skills of the Chinese and suggest they’re ninjas. When the host questions if they are ninja, Megan replies:
“They’re whatever we want… they’re Asian”
The cringe-worthy video spread all over the web but Ryan’s sibling spoke out in her defense, claiming the interview was all a joke.

In a statement to Celebuzz Megan says:
“I would like to apologize for the video that is circulating.This was not a real interview, and it in no way reflects my true feelings or persona whatsoever.”
She explains:
“During that time, I played a character on a television comedy show called Closing Time TV, which was a show with different comedy skits, fake news skits and staged interviews. The video in question reflects a skit from the show in which I acted as an ignorant guest on a talk show that made ignorant comments.”
