24-year-old pro BMX rider and Laurelton, Queens, NYC native Nigel Sylvester celebrated the launch of his G-Shock watch, the GD100NS-7, last night at the Hotel Rivington in the Lower East Side of NYC.

It was, to date, the best launch we’ve hit up this year!

Sylvester and Co. had three floors of the hotel’s penthouse for guests to chill and let loose, including the breezy roof deck which offered a near 360 degree view of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Bottles and bottles of Henny and some of the livest music by DJ Clark Kent (read: Watch The Throne cuts, Mobb Deep hits) soothed his admirers, including Pharrell Williams who dropped into the thick of things after midnight.

“It’s a great feeling,” Nigel gushed, as a huge smile spread from ear to ear hours before the craziness hit.

“It’s a great feeling seeing something come to life from nothing,” the Animal Bike speed demon added, explaining that the watch took over a year to produce.  “My mom can walk through Macy’s and see my watch on display!”

The GD100NS-7 is one of the jewels in Sylvester’s already dazzling crown. His bottle with Gatorade and his collabo with New Era add further shine to one of the game’s brightest  stars!

“Where we at right now, it’s a long way from Laurelton!” Nigel said.
