At least that’s what John Bonini, content marketing manager of Impact Branding & Design, told The Wall Street Journal in an article.
As of now, Lady Gaga has around 20 million followers on Twitter (the most of anybody). So, essentially, each one of her followers are worth about $1.50 to her.

According to Bonini, the reason why Gaga is able to make so much money off of Twitter is because she knows how to Tweet. Bonini says:
“She really engages them and re-tweets stuff they say as if she was one of them.”
The article claims that the closeness and direct access Lady Gaga gives her fans creates a bond with the pop star “who otherwise may be tempted to download her music illegally.”
