According to a new poll, likely voters think President Obama is a shoe-in for the 2012 election.

VIDEO: Modest Much? Obama Claims He’s An “OK” Debater

The Hill’s latest election poll found that 53 percent of voters believe Obama will be re-elected, which is a 10 point increase from the 43 percent that thought he would win before the Democratic National Convention in September.

This comes as no surprise, being that his challenger Mitt Romney has hit a stream of rough patches over the last four weeks, filled with gaffes, off base comments and leaked videos of the Governor speaking off the cuff. Polls show that only 41 percent of voters see Romney winning the presidency.

The Romney campaign is banking on the presidential debates to make a turn around, so the stakes are high.

The poll shows that 85 percent of those surveyed say they are going to watch the first of three presidential debates scheduled to broadcast this Wednesday in Denver.
