Losing a presidential election isn’t something you can just “get over.” In his first post-election interview on Fox News, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney suggested that he isn’t happy with the direction of the country and his major loss still affects him.

“I don’t see that kind of leadership right now,” he said, and “it kills me not to be in there, not to be in the White House” to provide that direction. He also told Fox News that he was pretty confident that he would win. “We were convinced that we would win.”

That probably made the blow even harder. Ouch! [CBS]

Is this guy serious? Connecticut state Rep. Ernest Hewett (D) is digging his political grave after announcing that he refuses to have a female intern, just days after making a lewd remark (involving his genitalia) to a teenage girl at a legislative hearing.

“They may give me a female, but I don’t want a female intern. That may sound sexist but I really don’t. That way that keeps me good and that keeps everybody else good.”

Now the lawmaker is facing calls for his resignation, but he contends that he’s done nothing wrong. Ummm… [PoliticalWire]

Are white people really scared of becoming the minority? Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said that white people are promoting birth control for black women because they fear becoming the minority in the United States. He spoke to a crowd at Grand Rapids Community College Black Student Union where he told them that white Americans will lose their majority by 2050 and have introduced birth control “because they don’t want no more black babies.” [DetroitFreePress]
