Talk about a much needed vacation.
Huma Abedin, the wife of disgraced politician, Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner, is taking a break from her post as Hillary Clinton’s transition office chief following the sexting scandal that has both her and her husband’s worlds spinning.
The move, however, is not a leave of absence, according to sources with information about the extended vacation. It’s still not clear when she will be departing.
The campaign contends that Abedin had planned on doing this for weeks, as Clinton’s schedule comes to a close and Huma’s vacation in East Hampton begins. Abedin is also expected to take the final weeks of her husband’s campaign off to be by his side.
And despite those recent developments about his sexual indiscretions, she seems to still be playing an active role, appearing with her husband during a press conference to acknowledge the sext scandal.
But friends and family are worried.
Here’s hoping this vacation is just what she needs.
