A photo-journalist working for a Mumbai-based English language magazine was gang raped by five men on Thursday evening. She was taken to the Jaslok hospital in India after the attack, where doctors said her medical condition was stable. Police eventually arrested five men from the area in connection with the gang-rape, but the Mumbai commissioner, Satya Pal Singh, refused to give any details about those arrested, saying it was “a sensitive case.” [Guardian]

A couple in Florida was arrested after assaulting a Dunkin’ Donuts employee after he gave them the wrong coffee orders. Jeffrey Wright, 27, and his wife Alexis Longo, 22, had asked for vanilla-flavored coffee, but instead received caramel-flavored coffee. After arguing with Rajay Hill for a bit, Wright pulled out his fully loaded 9mm handgun and used it to pistol whip Hill a number of times. Read about it, here…[Gawker]

Marcus T. Paulk, best known for playing Brandy’s little brother Myles on the hit show Moesha, turned himself in to authorities after allegedly kicking and punching his girlfriend, Andi Roxx. Roxx was hospitalized with internal injuries. [TMZ]

Colorado state Senator Vicki Marble, R-Fort Collins, knows why black communities are always poverty stricken. They eat too much chicken:  “When you look at life expectancy, there are problems in the black race. Sickle-cell anemia is something that comes up. Diabetes is something that’s prevalent in the genetic makeup, and you just can’t help it. Although I’ve got to say, I’ve never had better barbecue and better chicken and ate better in my life than when you go down South and you, I mean, I love it. Everybody loves it.” Oh. [NewsOne]

President Obama isn’t turning a blind eye to the tragedy in Syria.
