Busta Rhymes is honoring the one year anniversary of Chris Lighty’s passing with a new song named after the famed music industry executive.
Featuring the late great Bob Marley, Busta confesses on “Chris Lighty” that he’s still in denial about Chris’ untimely passing, somberly rapping:
“I wrote this a couple days after they took Chris Lighty from me, Still in denial but put up your celly’s and lighters only, and rep your love like the greatest pain when you lose your homie.”
On the hook, Bob Marley joins in with lyrics from his beloved “Natural Mystic” record – his voice & words are the perfect fit for this track.
