Paul Walkers death still has many of us in disbelief. This past Sunday, thousands of mourners gathered around the late actor’s memorial site in Santa Clarita, Calif., in an effort to pay their respect to the Fast and Furious star and his friend, who were killed in a fatal crash over a week ago.

It looked like a scene out of a movie. Many mourners arrived in their cars as an ode to Walker’s most prominent role in the Fast and Furious franchise. Several vehicles that Walker drove in the movies were on display in a church parking lot near the crash site, reports People.

The memorial, which was organized via social media, drew over 5,000 people. It was reported that some mourners had come from as far away as Arizona, Nevada and Texas.

Walker died alongside friend Roger Rodas after the Porsche Carrera GT Rodas was driving careened into a tree and light pole. An autopsy confirmed that the actor, 40, died of “traumatic and thermal injuries.” His death has had a profound effect on many, including co-stars Tyrese and Vin Diesel, who called Walker their “brother.”
