So this “epic-ness” happened. On Jan. 29, NFL player Donte Stallworth and 5o dancers from Pace University surprised a crowd at Central Park when they broke out in a flash mob designed to educate people on the benefits of the Affordable Care Act. In partnership with Generation Progress, the flash mob was designed to help inform others about how the law will benefit them. Watch the amazing video above. [YouTube]

Navajo members of the LGBT community aren’t looking towards government to change anti-gay legislation. Advocates are now targeting the tribe’s ban on same-sex marriages. They argue that defeating the ban could help LGBT members of the community to be seen as equal, as well as improve the tribe’s complicated land trust system for their spouses. Here’s some disheartening news. Forty percent, or at least 250 million of the world’s 650 million primary school age children are unable to read, write and do basic mathematics. A new report commissioned by the U.N. education agency found that 130 million are in primary school but have not achieved the minimum benchmarks for learning, and almost 120 million have spent little or no time in a classroom, including 57 million youngsters who are not attending school. So this happened. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has an idea on how to curb unplanned pregnancies — punish low income women who have children out of wedlock. At a luncheon for the Chamber of Commerce in Lexington, KY, Paul suggested capping government benefits for the women in question. “Maybe we have to say ‘enough’s enough, you shouldn’t be having kids after a certain amount.'” He went on to say, “I don’t know how you do all that because then it’s tough to tell a woman with four kids that she’s got a fifth kid we’re not going to give her any more money.
