GlobalGrind’s senior entertainment editor BlogXilla got the chance to host an exclusive VIP screening for the highly anticipated remake of the ’80s film RoboCop. We also got our hands on this exclusive first look at Boardwalk Empire star Michael K. Williams in the film.
RoboCop takes place in Detroit during the year 2028, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. That’s when the fun starts.
BlogXilla brought the whole city out to catch an early viewing of the film. Industry personalities and tastemakers such as MTV’s Sofi Green, Hot 97’s DJ Spin King, and Brie Bythewood from Blood, Sweat, and Tears, were all in the building.
BlogXilla also got the chance to interview the stars of RoboCop during an earlier press junket.
As always, he was able to get some truly great interviews with the cast, who dished on making the film and wearing the robo suit. There’s even a sick James Brown impression by Gary Oldman! Check out the interviews here.
