“Boom Clap” has Charli XCX pushing her album back.
The UK pop star made a huge splash in the U.S. when she appeared on Iggy Azalea’s mega hit “Fancy,” and according to the “Break The Rules” singer her latest single “Boom Clap” is receiving the same monstrous response.
With all the ad placement and fandom surrounding “Boom Clap,” Charli made the executive decision to delay her album by a few months.
Charli’s Sucker album will now be released in the fourth quarter on December 16 in the U.S., and the first quarter in the UK on January 26.
Charli made the announcement on Twitter:
I’m overwhelmed by the love for boom clap & the support from all u angels, I need to put the date back so I can launch the album properly…
