Greg Anthony is in hot water after he was arrested for allegedly soliciting a prostitute in Washington, D.C., and now he’s responding to the incident.

As we previously reported, the former CBS sportscaster has been suspended indefinitely, as a spokeswoman revealed that he would “not be working again for CBS this season.”

According to ESPN, not only has Anthony been suspended from the network, but he also issued a statement where he offered an apology to fans, colleagues, and most importantly, his wife.

The statement read:

“I made a mistake,” he said. “With this lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself. I will work to regain the trust that I have lost, and the first step is saying that I am sorry.”

While he is no longer in police custody, we do know that the arrest was part of an undercover prostitution sting.

We will keep you updated as more details surface.
