Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais hosted the 2016 Golden Globes on Sunday night, and according to reports, he’s been slated to helm the award show again next year, making it the comedian’s fifth time as Globes ring master.

After Tina Fey and Amy Poehler successfully hosted the show for the past three years, and Gervais vowed never to host again, he returned this year thanks to popular demand.

NBC’s president of alternative and late-night programming Paul Telegdy said, “Tina and Amy are a hard act to follow but Ricky is completely fearless and entirely up for the job. He always did us proud. Welcome back, Ricky.” Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Lorenzo Soria stated, “His off-the-cuff wit and quirky charm will surely have the room and audiences around the world at the edge of their seats.”

No official word on whether or not Gervais will host next year’s Golden Globes, but he’s definitely a shoo-in.

Gervais’ return as host of the Globes on Sunday night meant that no one was safe, especially Mel Gibson.

Gervais interrupted Mel Gibson during his presentation to ask a question that people have wanted to know for an entire decade – what does “sugar tits” mean?

The phrase stems from Gibson’s DUI arrest back in 2006, and one of the things law enforcement revealed at the time was that Mel referred to a female deputy as “sugar tits.” Gibson denied using the term.

One of Star Wars‘ most underrated stars may get its very own film. TMZ exclusively posted photos taken at Pinewood Studios, where the The Force Awakens was also filmed, of what appears to be a classic X-Wing, the Rebel fighter plane Luke Skywalker famously used to destroy the Death Star.

The X-Wing will appear in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a prequel to the original 1977 Star Wars: A New Hope. The film will reportedly follow a group of resistance fighters attempting to steal plans for the Death Star and hits theaters in December 2016.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio‘s The Revenant opened strong at the box office this weekend. The film debuted nationwide to $38 million, but still came in second to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which grossed $41.6 million on its fourth weekend in theaters.

After also shattering China box office records over the weekend, Star Wars has become the third most commercially successful film in history, according to Walt Disney Studios.

Daddy’s Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, took third place with $15 million, while the thriller The Forest, starring Natalie Dormer and Taylor Kinney, came in fourth with $13.1 million.

Who knew that hip-hop dance crazes could become so mainstream, presidential hopefuls would be doing them?

Hillary Clinton tried to prove once again that she’s totally in tune with what’s happening with the youth. So much so that during her appearance on Ellen Monday morning, Hillary hit her version of the “dab.”
