Thought 3D was only for movies? You thought wrong.

PHOTOS & VIDEO: Best Dunks Ever!

This weekend Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will rock their own 3D kicks at the NBA All Star Game. Why not? New styles, new year and new technology including a ‘lenticular material in key areas throughout the shoe create the illusion of three-dimensional moving images,’ make it all possible, according to Nike.

The technology is most noticeable on the tongue of the sneakers, where, on James’ LEBRON 8 V/C, the image appears to change from the logo of the East All-Star team to his signature lion logo. Similar effects will be used for Durant’s Nike Zoom KD III and on Bryant’s Nike Zoom Kobe VI.
