Cinco de Mayo might be the greatest day of the year. It basically just involves day drinking outside right as the weather gets warm.
But, thanks to Wikipedia, I know the real reason behind the holiday: Cinco de Mayo was originated by Mexican-American communities in the American West as a way to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War. But today the date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
So, we celebrate Mexico, we drink, and we drink outside because the weather is usually nice.
Awesome.
It should also be noted that there are a lot of beautiful Mexican women that deserve to be celebrated as well. And, I happened to round up 22 of them.
