Just in time for Pride Week, Disney Channel decides to add a gay couple to one of its shows, and a lot of celebs (especially Miley Cyrus and Evan Rachel Wood) are excited about the decision.
Good Luck Charlie is in the process of its fourth and final season and in one of the episodes, Charlie will have a playmate over at the house. Later on, it’s revealed that the playmate has two moms!
Miley couldn’t help but tweet the news:

A Disney Channel spokesperson told TV Guide in a statement: “This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors…Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness.”
Congrats Disney Channel on taking that jump for the kids!
