Blake Lively is barrelling along with her life in the wake of alleged nude photos being published. Those aren’t the only pictures being circulated on line, however. There’s a new set of pictures out, this time from Glamour magazine’s July issue in which Lively is the mag’s cover star.
In the issue the “Gossip Girl” star, “Green Lantern” love interest and Chanel spokesmodel was photographed by Terry Tsiolis. Blake wears short shorts and short skirts in very romantic images. She invokes a young girl who is contemplative, playful and sophisticated post the Kennedy assassination or 1950s, early ’60s London. It’s very, very Mod. All that’s missing is a motorcycle and go-go boots!
In an interview with her best friend Florence Welch, Lively also discusses her style and why she doesn’t have a stylist.
“You know, my mom modeled and made clothes, so I always had such an appreciation for design. And then ‘Gossip Girl’ completely blew open the door to fashion for me. I’d go to fashion shows and call my publicist and say, ‘Can I wear that?’ I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I’m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That’s a terrible idea.”
