We’re not saying that they’re gold diggers…

One of Kanye West’s biggest records is 2005’s “Gold Digger.” The song infamously samples Ray Charles’ classic “I Got A Woman.”

Apparently, “Gold Digger” also samples another record, and Kanye could be in big trouble because of it. According to a new lawsuit, the song also uses a 1974 track called “Bumpin’ Bus Stop,” by David Pryor. During the “Gold Digger” chorus, there’s a time where you can hear “get down” scratched in the background.

Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor, two of Pryor’s children, claim that “get down” is from their father’s 1974 song and they are pissed. The two are asking for a judge to block future sales of “Gold Digger” and they are also asking for damages.

We put both tracks on the bottom so you can hear what Steward and Pryor are talking about. The “get down” part in “Gold Digger” happens at the 0.33 of the song, and Pryor says “get down” around 11 seconds into his jawn.

Our question is: why wait so long to say something?
