Lana Del Rey probably felt like she wanted to die after her awkward cringe-worthy performance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live this weekend.

EXCLUSIVE BLOG: Love Her Or Hate Her: Lana Del Rey Is Sinfully Seductive

But I’m here to say, it’s all good – well kind of.

Despite Lana’s very uncomfortable performance, I think she deserves a second go around before the music critics crucify her every existence.

As a big fan of Lana, it was definitely hard to watch her stand stoic, yet seem so unrefined. Not only was her stage presence damn near non-existent, but the sound in Saturday Night Live’s studio seemed off.

After watching her perform show after show on UK television, fans in the U.S. couldn’t wait to see Lana perform her hit songs “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans.”

Unbeknownst to us, Lana’s performance would be deemed a huge FAIL, and would be ripped apart by every celebrity from NBC’s Brian Williams to actress Juliette Lewis.

Let’s face the facts, Lana Del Rey is not Beyonce, she’s not a show stopping, bring the house all the way down type of singer. I kind of believe her weird awkward performance steeze is a part of her whole swag.

Awkward, yet beautiful. Stoic, yet stressed. Angelic voice, yet sinfully sexy in appearance.

What did critics expect? For Lana Del Rey to bust out into a full-on dance number? Or wait, was she supposed to fly through the air in some cool complicated contraption as she sings “Born To Die?”

Doubt it!

Her performance wasn’t great, but it wasn’t THAT bad!

Stop the howling in sheer terror, she wasn’t the worst performer music’s ever seen.

Give Lana a break, leave her alone and go buy her album Born To Die on January 30th.
