After over a month of relentless protests and rallies over neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman’s brutal murder of Trayvon Martin, an outraged nation still has yet to see justice.

STORY: HE HAS A NAME: Kendrec McDade, Shot To Death By Pasadena Police

Trayvon Martin was shot dead on February 26th, 2012 after Zimmerman pursued him for looking suspicious, shortly after a 911 dispatcher told him not to.

Trayvon was returning to a gated community where his dad stayed after buying a bag of skittles and iced tea. When approached by Zimmerman, Trayvon asked why he was being followed and a scuffle between the two began.

Hal Uhrig, a lawyer who recently joined the Zimmerman defense team, is attempting to justify Zimmerman’s murder implying that he may have suffered from Shaken Baby Syndrome after Trayvon allegedly smashed his head into the concrete. As reported by Reuters, Hal Uhrig told CBS reporters:

“We’re familiar with the Shaken Baby Syndrome. You shake a baby, the brain shakes around inside the skull. You can die when someone’s pounding your head into the ground. “He didn’t commit any crime. He was attacked, broke his nose, hit his head into the ground and he defended himself. That’s not against the law.”

Sounds like a bit of a stretch.
