In President Obama’s first interview since his disappointing performance at the first presidential debate, the incumbment spoke one-on-one with ABC’s Diane Sawyer. Obama explained his perspective of what went wrong at the debate in Denver and lashed out at his Republican opponent Mitt Romney.

“Governor Romney had a good night. I had a bad night. It’s not the first time I’ve had a bad night,” said Obama on the debate.

When pressed to give a reason for his lackluster performance, Obama upheld his stance and said that he’s ready to move on and take Romney on in round two.

“There’s no doubt that I can make a better case which is why I’m so looking forward to Tuesday.” He continued, “I played a lot of sports when I was a kid and still do. When you have a bad game, you just move on.  You just look forward to the next one and it makes you just that more determined.”

Obama also pounced on Romney’s recent flip-flop on the issue of abortion.

“This is another example of Governor Romney hiding positions he’s been campaigning on for a year and a half.”

Obama then answered whether he thought Romney was lying when he said he wouldn’t restrict abortion:

“No, I actually think … when it comes to women’s rights to control their own health care decisions, you know, what he has been saying is exactly what he believes. He thinks that it is appropriate for politicians to inject themselves in those decisions.”

Obama sounds ready for round two of the presidential debate face-off, and so are we!
