Change is really coming.
On Wednesday, Trayvon Martin’s father, Tracy Martin, will appear on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. to offer remarks on a new hearing put together by the Congressional Caucus on Black Men and Boys.
The hearing, titled “The Status of Black Males: Ensuring Our Boys Mature Into Strong Men,” will also include David Johns, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, Michael Eric Dyson, professor at Georgetown University and Kweisi Mfume, former NAACP president, congressman and Congressional Black Caucus chairman.
Martin is expected to give the opening remarks, most likely touching on raising a black man in a racially polarizing nation, and the verdict heard around the world.
