Drake will likely broaden his fan base to metrosexals and stylish males alike, thanks to landing the cover of leading men’s style mag GQ magazine. Though the Toronto rapper shares the spotlight with two others for three separate covers of the April 2012 issue, Drizzy shines best in a wonderfully tailored navy blue suit for GQ’s first ever “Style Bible” issue.

For the cover story inside, Drake is interviewed by Claire Hoffman in his colossal mansion located in California’s San Fernando Valley. Drake touches on his childhood, his relationship with his father and his rise to stardom beginning with his Room For Improvement mixtape.

When asked about the relationship that he has with his father, Drake says:

Me and my dad are friends. We’re cool. I’ll never be disappointed again, because I don’t expect anything anymore from him. I just let him exist, and that’s how we get along. We laugh. We have drinks together. But I spent too many nights looking by the window, seeing if the car was going to pull up. And the car never came.

When asked about getting women when you’re in the rap game, Drizzy says:

There’s just a time where it was like, just getting pussy. Where I was in that sort of ‘I’m young, I’m going to disconnect from my emotions and just do what everyone else tells me I should do and just be a rapper and have my fun.’ And for me as a person, it just doesn’t work. I just need something else. The seconds after a man reaches climax, that’s like the realest moment of your life. If I don’t want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there’s something wrong.

Drake manages to show a side of himself that we’re not used to always seeing, but we can definitely respect his point of view. Check out a couple photos from the article of all three separate covers featuring John Slattery and Dave Franco (actor James Franco‘s brother).

Compared to the other two cover stars, Drizzy is certainly the best they ever had!
