Lena Dunham may be one of the newest celebs on our radar, but when it comes to voting, she definitely isn’t new to it!
In the video above, the 26-year-old Girls writer/actress tells us about the first time she got to vote in a presidential election. She states candidly that at that point, there was a line drawn in the sand and she had gone from being a girl to being a woman, and that she used her vote to help elect Barack Obama in 2008.

Lena goes on to explain her choice by saying:
“Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy. It should be with a guy with beautiful… someone who really cares about and understands women. A guy who care whether you get health insurance and specifically whether you get birth control.”
