Ladies This Is The ‘Perfect Date’
As I sit and skim through the wine list of this elegant restaurant that is way out of my budget, I check for prices rather than items because my sole purpose for even showing up for the date is the company of the beautiful woman sitting across from me. I was so surprised she’d given me the time of day that I placed her up on a pedestal so high if she fell off of it, she’d still land clouds above my current interests. I rehearsed my witty impromptu jokes and ‘what are your dreams’ answers in the shower then the semi-foggy mirror, I even practiced a few times in restaurant bathroom before she arrived 🙂 – The only thing that could ruin this date is her not showing up.
Whether we know it or not 9 out of 10 times our 1st impressions trump everything, if you nail that initial meeting it serves as a reference if ever you were to stumble or aren’t at your best. So when it comes to dating let your hair down and plan to smile you’ve already passed the biggest test. If possible stay away from traditional dinner and movies, ‘everyone’s doing it’ because everyone is doing it and lets be honest doing what everyone is doing in ‘this’ society doesn’t say much.

When the blind lead the blind they either walk in circles or off of cliffs. So if you’re a chicken fingers and fries kind of girl don’t insist on making reservations for a 5 Star restaurant in Beverly Hills. If a man treats you to a 5 Star meal it means nothing more than on that night he had the means to cover that tab, in no way does the praise bestowed on that establishment by food critics reflect how he feels about you, nothing is stopping a 2 Star Man in a 3 piece suit from fine dining but money.
Let your date determine who they are, not their choice of establishment or financial status, some of the best dates happen in the most unlikely of places … Who is to say throwing a $.99 loaf of bread piece by piece in a city park while talking about life isn’t just as good as an all expenses paid night on the town in Manhattan … Great dates always depend on the people involved rather than the date itself the sooner you realize that the more fun you’ll have in your quest to companionship.

I’ll leave you with this … Before I knew about Benihana’s and Japanese Steak Houses I thought that Fine Asian Dining was Mark Pi’s #6 ‘Island Wok Shrimp w/ Extra Shrimp Please’ … At heart I’m that same kid after all the Fine Asian Dining, I still go to Mark Pi’s for my #6 🙂
