I have been a fan of Carmelo Anthony since Oak Hill Academy. I was rooting for him during his freshman year at Syracuse when he lead his team to the NCAA championship. I watch every Denver Nuggets game because of Carmelo. Anthony is arguably one of the best in the NBA. Personally, I think that he is the best pure scorer in the league. After 7 seasons in the NBA, Carmelo has failed to lead his team to a title but he has managed to be very entertaining both on and off the court. The only problem is Melo’s off the court antics can and will eventually have an effect on his on the court play which is a notion that seems to elude him. There was the incident with the ‘No Snitching’ campaign, the ‘fight’ at Madison Square Garden, and now the ‘Twit’. Being from the ‘hood’ I can understand ‘keeping it real’ but at the end of the day too much money is on the line. Carmelo has yet to sign his $65 million extension with Denver, he recently was wed to LaLa Vasquez, and at this point he should be more concerend with his career than what any attention seeking individual whos only claim to fame is the number of rappers, actors, and athletes that she has allowed to do whatever, whenver to her. Like I stated earlier, I can understand wanting to keep it real and keep it street but at the end of the day when you in the position that someone like Melo is in the only people you have to keep it real with is your family and yourself. So at this point, I would have to say that the actions of Mr. Anthony are not real, they are just plain stupid.
