Is this a case of child abuse, or a mother wanting something better for her child? Kerry Campbell, 34, from Birmingham, England wants her little girl Kelly to be a superstar. She goes so far as to inject Kelly with needles of Botox and fillers into her face.

Kerry also told British publication, “The Sun” that she waxes her daughter’s legs and pubic area. According to her, this process will prevent hair from eventually growing. Hasn’t she ever heard of puberty?

Is this a new paradox in our culture, or is this something that we have come to accept? TLC’s television show “Toddlers & Tiaras” further explores this pattern of behavior. It follows obsessive parents and shows what lengths they go through to ensure their daughters become beauty queens.

It’s all about the crown. Parents will wax, clip, tan, fluff and poof their daughters to make them look like beauty queens for cash prizes and notoriety. Is this abuse or overly obsessive parents? Where is the line and have these parents crossed it?
