Earlier this week, Game revealed via Twitter that MTV and BET had banned his “Red Nation” video, featuring Lil Wayne, in fear that the video promotes gang activity. Game and Wayne have both openly admitted to being affiliated with the Bloods ― rivals to the Crips.
“No love is lost for BET and MTV,” Game explained. “I know they have standards for all ages watching the networks. I didn’t want to change the artistic integrity of the music video and with the amount of people watching videos online, I know that all my fans will still be able to find it.”
As expected, Game sports a red fro-hawk and Wayne “Bloods the f–k up” in the video, which looks like an urban “Mad Max” scene. Game’s oft-delayed “The R.E.D. Album” is set to drop in August.
